My Approach.
I love being in schools and am truly enthralled by discovering what makes each school unique. I dive in and get to deeply know every school with whom I work. As I have performed nearly every task in a school (teaching, development, admissions, program, business office, human resources, assistant head, consultant, parent, board member, and head of school), I have an innate understanding of how each part contributes to the greater whole. And since I have worked with many schools, I coalesce all of those experiences to create solutions that are tailored to each individual school and most importantly, that will deliver results.
Three hallmarks of my work always remain consistent regardless of the project or client.
INNOVATE STRATEGY >>> The rigorous use of robust data results in accurate identification of actual challenges and fosters effectively leveraging strengths. Data is not personal; the story it tells allows everyone to get on the same page by building trust through transparency. Once that foundation is set, we can create innovative strategy that is both exciting and pragmatic, and that will get us from point a to point b (with flexibility!).
INSPIRE COMMNUNITY >>> While good strategy is important, school culture will always be more so. Schools are rooted in relationships; relationships + community + lived experience = culture. My role is to help schools inspire community and strengthen culture. We do this by inviting participation along the way, by employing smart communication in which constituents can see their voices, and by articulating a compelling vision for the future.
IGNITE RESULTS >>> There are few things that cannot be accomplished when great strategy and great culture unite. I am both a big picture and systems thinker and have an innate sense of what key individuals can uniquely contribute to the work. As giving and enrollment are generally a result of everything else in a school, my clients have not only seen revenue growth, but also launched new programming, courageous initiatives, and capital campaigns.
